What a great privilege it was to assist South African photographer, Alet van Huyssteen, with a shoot at the Dorchester Hotel. Two of the greatest world leaders had lunch together and Alet did the job for Ex-President Bill Clinton. Alet does work for the Nelson Mandela Foundation on a regular basis and is also a very good friend of ours. Thanks Alet!!

It was a big privilege to cover the rugby between Saracens and the Springboks at Wembley Stadium. We did the shoot for a South African publication, SA Promo. Thank you to Thomas Holmes for helping me with the accreditation! Sports photography is one of my great passions (alongside music photography), so this was a nice break from all the wedding and portrait shoots! We rented a 400mm f2.8 from Fixation to do the job.

I posted some photos of Madiba previously. These were all taken at the time of his 90th birthday celebrations here in London and below are some of our favourite shots taken at the 46664 concert in Hyde Park. Some of the acts included Razorlight, Leona Lewis, Annie Lenox and many more! My personal highlight was Queen and Paul Rodgers. A few months ago we had the privilege of taking photos of one of my favourite 80′s bands – OMD. Some of the images were used in an issue of Bass Magazine. Thanks Julie and the rest of the OMD management team! Our images were also used for the 2008 Tour Postergramme. OMD will be the guests of Simple Minds later this year, check out the OMD website here! I will upload some of my favourite shots from their gig at The Roundhouse Theatre in Camden in another post!
I was keen to introduce my wife to the world of sport photography, so in November 2007, I dragged her along to do a shoot for two South African publications. Bags packed, we headed for Cardiff to cover the match between Wales and South Africa.
